I did get my chance to play professional baseball. I signed with the Florida Marlins in January of 2003. After being released near the end of spring training, I was signed by the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League, and then traded to the Berkshire Black Bears (now the New Haven Cutters) of the Northeast League. I then played for the Edinburg Roadrunners and Coastal Bend Aviators of the Central League before. It was a great experience, and one I'll never forget. You can read more about my story by clicking on "About Us."
Many players are unaware that there are many professional baseball leagues throughout the United States, and they're always looking for talent. In addition to U.S. leagues, there are several world leagues. Several players in the big leagues have played in these leagues, and many of them use these leagues to get back into the big leagues.
